Armed with the alarming statistics of the poor state of employee health around the world, the Global Corporate Challenge® (GCC) was founded in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia by former Australian Olympic champion Herb Elliott, advertising executive Glenn Riseley and leading Australian nutritionist, Shane Bilsborough MSc (Human Nutrition).They were concerned that as the world continued to get more complicated, people were losing their relationship with their bodies and the importance of exercise.
