About Global LT, Language and Relocation Destination Services Global LT, founded in 1979, has been a certified minority owned business for over 30 years. Our mission is to provide best-in-class language services to global companies, enabling their employees to live and work successfully anywhere in the world. Our services include language training, cultural training, translation solutions and expatriate relocation services.

The Forum for Expatriate Management was founded in October 2008 by Brian Friedman to address the myriad issues facing international assignees and their families moving from one location to another. The Forum provides an online community of International Human Resource and Global Mobility professionals that is inclusive in nature and open to both in-house and service provider professionals alike. Formerly the Chief Executive Officer of both Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen's Human Capital practice, Mr. Friedman has worked in Global Mobility and Expatriate Management for over 25 years.

Global LT was established in the kitchen of Hortensia Albertini’s Michigan home in 1979, with nothing more than a phone and a filing cabinet. A Cuban immigrant, who at the time was divorced and without a formal education, was forced to find a way to raise her daughter Lisette. She decided to use the only practical skill in which she had confidence, her Spanish language. Hortensia began offering language lessons to executives moving to Mexico for work assignments, which proved very positive for her small home based business. From there, Hortensia began offering other languages and cultural training programs. Today, Global LT is a full-service training, translation and expatriate destination solution center headquartered in the USA with entities in China, Hong Kong, Brazil, and the UK.

Founded in 1979, Global LT is headquartered in Troy, Michigan. Global LT is a world renowned provider of language training, cultural training, translations and expatriate destination services with representatives in Boston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, London, and Shanghai. Global LT is a member of the National Minority Business Development Council (NMBDC), The Association of Language Companies (ALCUS), American Translators Association (ATA) and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
