Kathy has over 30 years experience in bookkeeping and accounting. She has worked with Bob and Walter since 1986 and has worked for various fishing companies since 1979. She was active in the NW Woman’s Fisheries Association and held several board positions. Kathy was also Treasurer for a non-profit Co-op of seven years. She loves the commercial fishing and maritime industry because the people are unique and dynamic and there are many opportunities to excel.
Randy has more than 35 years of experience in the maritime industry and recently joined the Mt. Mitchell crew. He received training at Crawford Nautical School and has his 3rd Mate Unlimited License, credentials to serve as captain, relief captain, engineer, and deck hand. Beyond his experience working on research vessels, Randy has enjoyed his time delivering yachts for owners and guests, crab fishing in Alaska and Russia, squid fishing in New Zealand, the North Pacific and Peru, and Tuna fishing off Mariana Island and the South Pacific. Experience Global Seas has the experience required to operate a vessel of superior quality and provide the highest level of service, while always putting client safety first. We employ skilled crew and in-house engineers who recognize the individual needs of clients as they analyze each project step-by-step from pre-engineering to demobilization. The Mt. Mitchell has vessel operations experience spanning many industries including: Regional Scale Nodes ( RSN ) Underwater Observatories Initiative - Seafloor Mapping on Oregon coast.
Greg has been the Operations Manager for Global Seas since 2002. He currently manages all of our fishing and research vessels in and out of port. He ensures that all of our vessels are operating safely and efficiently and that we are compliant with USCG as well as all permits, regulations and certificates. Greg previously worked as an Operations Manager for US and Russian catcher processing companies in the Bering Sea and the Sea of Okhosk . He also has experience in processing supply sales and earned a BA in Business from the University of Washington.
