Description

Golden Gate Strings was created by longtime San Francisco musician Su Buchignani. Over the years, she has seen the return to elegance in Bay Area events and realized that San Francisco deserved a musical group to complement this renewed elegance. Assembling an extraordinary ensemble of concertmasters and principal players from the greater Bay Area's finest symphony orchestras, she created exclusive arrangements for the group in a wide variety of styles including classical, movie greats, favorites from the 1930s through the 1950s, tango, classic rock, R & B, Motown and well beyond. Golden Gate Strings was born. The Golden Gate Sound is truly unique. Unlike any other ensemble, the group is equally at home performing a full classical concert at the Palace of the Legion of Honor, or stretching out with Motown on the steps of the rotunda of San Francisco City Hall. Nowhere else can you find a group whose song list extends from Vivaldi's Spring through Gone With The Wind, The Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Play That Funky Music, with scores of selections in between. Golden Gate Strings has created quite a sensation, and the respect of both agents and clients. The ensemble has performed as a classical string orchestra for the National Convocation of the American College of Physicians, The World Boy Scout Federation and King Gustavus of Sweden. It performed popular selections for Accenture, KEG Canada, John Muir Medical Group and many more. ...
