GRRR was formed in mid 2003 by a group of caring individuals, bound by a deep love and admiration for the breed, in response to the large number of homeless and abandoned Golden Retriever Dogs in the NW Ohio area. GRRR was incorporated in the state of Ohio in 2003, and granted official 501c(3) status in 2003. The purposes for which the Corporation was organized and to be operated are charitable and/or educational. In accomplishment of such purposes, the Corporation will: - Establish and maintain a volunteer temporary foster care for the Golden Retriever Dog (purebred and mixed); - Establish and maintain a permanent adoption service for the Golden Retriever Dog (purebred and mixed) whether rescued by the Corporation or received by gift, devise or otherwise; - Establish, maintain and participate in educational programs and instructional endeavors to teach the general population regarding the care, commitment and responsibilities of Golden Retriever Dog ownership; - Recruit, organize and train a corps of volunteers to fulfill the mission and purpose of the Corporation; Sponsor or participate in public events that relate to or further the purposes of the Corporation as stated herein;
