Description
"Rhonda Bradetch and Paul Grove mesmerized our audience on Friday, February 15, when they played on our recital series. The flute and guitar combination was brilliant and their program "Music From the South" featured classical and jazz music from the Deep South, South American and Southern Europe. Rhonda shines as a supreme master of flute and has a maturity which, together with her wide range of expressions and tonal finesse allows her to display the unexpected beauty of her instrument. Some of the more demanding pieces called for agile fingers, a clear sound and driving energy -- and Rhonda had it all. Grove displays high professionalism with refined musicianship and a fingering virtuosity that hypnotizes the listener. Both musicians were warm and generous with the audience and patrons were thrilled with the concert. They are a perfect recital concert for any roster. I hope they will do a return engagement for us in the future." Gail Bunke, Celebrity Concert Series, Tanner Amphitheater Southwest Symphony Orchestra --St. George, Utah "The Salmon Arts Council asked Rhonda Bradetich to bring the beautiful music of her golden flute back to Salmon, this time with the rich classical guitar sounds of Paul Grove. Bradetich and Grove are excellent ambassadors for classical music! Their residency with our middle school students and public performance were well received and I would highly recommend adding these top-quality musicians to any presenter's programming." Janice Torrey, ExecutiveDirector Salmon Arts Council--Salmon, Idaho "Flutist Rhonda Bradetich and harpist Leslie Stratton Norris made a stunning appearance in the intimate but spacious setting of the Omak Presbyterian Church. The artists' amazing technique, supported by rich romantic tone and careful programming for contrast and interest, was a perfect match for our first dinner/concert." Board of Trustees Premier Performances--Okanogan County, Washington "...we have a mission to bring talented artists to the Bowl who reach out through music and touch everyone in a positive, powerful way. The Goldenflute Chamber Trio did just that!" Marsha Gebara ,Program Director & Karen Holmes, Executive Director Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival--Redlands, California "Both programs were beautifully and tastefully done...Not only is your playing and music outstanding, but your grace and professionalism is a pleasure to work with." Joyce L. Graff Board of Directors--Arts Council of Morrow County, Oregon "...a delightful musical evening. The program was interesting, introducing music that I assume is new to most of us. For me the Schulhoff was new and most enjoyable. Certainly your musicianship was a pleasure to experience." John Garing Board of Directors, Camerata Musica--Richland, Washington "Bradetich and Feeney added additional color to their show through a running historical narrative sprinkled between the various featured musical scores underscoring how their selections 'contained emotions running from extreme pathos and melancholy to a wildly abandoned joy in living.'" "For a glimpse into the wondrous works by composers from Hungary, Romania, and Russia give these musicians a try. You'll not be disappointed!" Earnest A Carman Clatskanie Arts Commission--Clatskanie, Oregon "Our audience, in a small, remote and rural community, was greatly pleased by the concert; the selections were exactly right. Every aspect of our business dealing with Rhonda was easy and professional." Eva Gayle Six Artistic Director, The Cutter Theatre--Metaline Falls, Washington "The tone and temper of the flute was brilliant, warm and effortless. The program itself was a well-chosen one, with pieces which showed the fine musical talents of both artists at their best." Ottomar Rudolf, Director Music Matinees Reed College--Portland, Oregon "We appreciate you being so understanding about the last minute change of date and, despite our less than desirable facility, we felt the show was really wonderful. I know our audience enjoyed themselves because several people stopped me on the street in the days following the performance to say how much they had enjoyed it." Jaime E. Stevens Orofino Regional Council on the Arts--Orofino, Idaho "The From Bach to Jazz Program was one of the most superb presentations performed on the Panida stage, as was evidenced by the thunderous response of the audience. ...we in the audience, dreamt, sighed, reminisced and laughed together. I found it an exceptional experience." "It's rare to find a performer so ready and eager to help with promotions, publicity, and all other preparatory facets of a show." Karen Bowers Executive Director, Panida Theater--Sandpoint, Idaho "We have received many small notes to thank us all for such a lovely time and I thank you for helping us to present the afternoon's event so professionally." Kate Drum, Executive Director Newport Arts Council-Newport, Washington "Like your flute, you are gold!" Barbara Carpenter Center Manager, Hope Memorial Center-Hope, Idaho "Goldenflute delivers a lovely golden evening a the Bowl. The secret to their success was their fine ensemble work and their choice of satisfying music, some of it well-known, and all serenely listenable... Following Bradetich's quiet, brief narration explaining each upcoming piece, Goldenflute just up and played." Nelda M. Stuck, Redlands Daily Facts Redlands, California "To understand why audiences are enamored with Bradetich's abilities as a flutist, one needs only to listen to her breathless performance of the Carmen Fantasy. ...several variations on the theme where relentless streams of triplets, sixteenth and thirty-second notes are thrusting the piece to its climax...Bradetich not only finesses the technical aspects, but is also able to inject a deeply expressive element into the piece." The River Journal Sanders County, Montana-Bonner County, Idaho-Boundary County, Idaho "Evident from the first note was the sweet tone of the flutist and razor-sharp ensemble between her and her colleague. Bradetich demonstrated phenomenal breath control, carrying very long phrases. The stage presentation of both women was friendly and out-going..." The Chronicle Omak, Washington "Bradetich is a capable and entertaining flutist. She played with imagination and skill. Both musicians were personable and had a good rapport with the audience, which included a number of young people." Salmon News Salmon, Idaho "They had the audience alternately laughing in delight and gasping in amazement. Rhonda displayed total mastery of her instrument through perfect runs...expressing fire, gaiety, reverence or wit... She moved with her flute--now like some meadow faun, now in perky counterpoint, now in solemn reverence--ever comfortable with the music."
