Gomez International, Incorporated Casa Grande, AZ Phone (520) 836-7869 Design of Molds and Segment Handling equipment for the production of Precision Precast Concrete Segmented Tunnel Linings Segment Plant showing MOLDS (Left), INVERTER (Center) and VACUUM LIFT (Right) Gomez International is the first and only company outside of Europe to successfully design molds to produce precision precast concrete tunnel lining segments. Along with the molds, Gomez International's design team designed the items of equipment required to handle the segments from the mold to the constructions site. These items include: * VACUUM LIFT to raise the segment out of the mold and transport them to the INVERTER. * INVERTER grips the segment and rotates it 180o from OD on top to ID on top. * SHUTTLE CONVEYOR transfers the segment from one processing station cradle to the next. * SEGMENT LIFTER picks up the segment from the final cradle and stacks it with its Ring Mates for yard storage. Another LIFTER is used on site for unstacking the segments for transport underground. These items were designed for Texas based Southland Contracting for the City of Houston North MacGregor Storm Sewer Relief Project.
