We have a very exciting event in the Gallery @ Good Dirt . We are hosting a show entitled ‘Form and Surface’ featuring the functional pottery of Carter Gillies and Jim Peckham. These are familiar faces around the studio, so come out to the opening to show your support and to see some excellent new work. Carter has been working on a new palette of glazes and some exciting new application methods that really highlight his fluid forms. Jim will show off his mastery of the wax-resist decoration technique on a variety of forms, from plates to cups and covered jars. Both potters will also be exhibiting wood-fired pieces with dramatic flashing and exciting colors. If you’ve procrastinated on finding the perfect gift, the timing of this show couldn’t be better.
