Section 1 - Guidelines 1.1.0 Goodhope Speedway reserves the right to change or adopt any changes or exceptions to the BNSS rule book and the local track option rules. 1.1.1 Goodhope Speedway reserves the right to refuse entry and/or racing to anyone. 1.1.2 Sportsman-like behavior should be taught and practiced. Racers will be held accountable for any unsportsmanlike behavior on the part of their crews/parents/fans. Section 2 - General Rules 2.1.0 NO alcoholic beverages BEFORE or DURING any race. 2.1.1 NO selling or solicitation of any kind on speedway grounds without the written approval of the track promoter. 2.1.2 Fighting, foul language, inappropriate hand gestures or harrassment of race officials, workers, participants or spectators will not be tolerated. Violators of this policy are subject to removal of the property. 2.1.3 NO open flames during race events. 2.1.4 NO glass bottles. 2.1.5 NO dumping of oil or fuel on the grounds. All teams will be responsible for the proper disposal of oil, lubricants, or any other substances that may be harmful to the environment. Goodhope has established a disposal sight underneath the tower for used oil. Anyone found contaminating the grounds may receive a lifetime suspension and criminal prosecution. 2.1.6 NO littering of the grounds. Your pit area should be as clean when you leave as it was when you entered the grounds. Section 3 - Safety 3.1.0 Ambulance services will be provided during racing events as a luxury, not as a requirement. 3.1.1 If driver's hair extends appreciably from beneath helmet, it must be secured in a ponytail clip and tucked in the racing jacket. 3.1.2 Spectators and crew must remain behind fences at all times. (Exception - refer to 3.2.0) 3.1.3 Scale house row is off limits to spectators and crew. 3.1.4 Engines must be shut off before entering the scale house. Driving through the scale house is not allowed. 3.1.5 Parents of drivers under the age of 18 must sign a 'minor release form' at each event. 3.1.6 Drivers and spectators must sign an insurance release form prior to entering the speedway grounds. 3.1.7 Children must be supervised at all times. 3.1.8 Hot Pit passes are required for anyone in the grid area. 3.1.9 Wristbands must be displayed on wrists or belt loops for easy identification. 3.2.0 During a red flag, ONLY medical personnel, race officials, and parent/guardian are allowed to be with the injured party. 3.2.1 Any driver losing any required piece of safety equipment (i.e. neck brace) during an event must leave the track immediately. The racer will not have the opportunity to correct the issue on the track. 3.2.2 Any driver losing a fuel cap during an event must leave the track immediately. This will be classified as a mechanical DQ and the driver will receive last place points for that event. Section 4 - Points 4.1.0 Point system utilized is BNSS. 4.1.1 Kart count (for the class) will be added to each driver's points for the event. 4.1.2 Points questions must occur within one week of the posting of the points for consideration. Points questions must be in writing and legible. 4.1.
