The Goodfellow AFB Library offers access to over 25 online databases and libraries. Below is a list of available online resources and descriptions of their services. These online resources are not part of the Goodfellow AFB Library. Clicking on the links below will take you to their websites. Some sites may be accessed only through the Air Force Portal, and you must have an Air Force Portal account to reach them. All other sites require a Username and Password for access. ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA ONLINE Powerful resource to search or browse for information in encyclopedias, magazines, videos, and Web sites. Log in to the Air Force Portal. Log in to the Air Force Portal. Click on Library, then scroll down to Databases. FIRSTSEARCH Instant online access to over 70 databases in all fields. Some include ERIC, MEDLINE, Book Reviews and Consumer Index. Articles, books, reports, and government publications. Excellent source for graduate level students. Use IP recognition option when logging in on your milnet computer. Log in to the Air Force Portal. GALE AP INTERACTIVES AP Interactives combine graphics, text, audio, video and photos into unique interactive packages on critical news topics and issues. Presented in an easy-to-use format, the Interactives enable your library users to gain insight on a wide range of topics ranging from historical events and political figures to natural disasters, technology, science and sporting events. GALE HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER Provides instant access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference materials. Includes nearly 400 health/medical journals, numerous reference volumes, over 700 health videos from partner Healthology, Incorporated, hundreds of pamphlets and health-related articles from 2,200 general interest publications in addition to a broad collection of Gale reference titles. Material contained in this Resource Center is intended for informational purposes only. GALE INFOTRAC Complete access to Gale’s Health and Wellness Center, Kids InfoBits, Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center, Student Resource Center Gold, and Virtual Reference Library. GALE KIDS INFOBITS Kids InfoBits is a database developed especially for beginning researchers in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Featuring a developmentally appropriate, visually graphic interface, the most popular search method is moving from a broad subject to a narrower topic using the subject-based topic tree. GALE STUDENT RESOURCE CENTER - GOLD Student Resource Center - Gold offers easy access to award-winning content based on national curriculum standards. Covering all core curriculum areas, including history, literature, science, social studies, and more, SRC - Gold provides a premium selection of reference material, more than 1,100 full-text periodicals and newspapers, primary sources, creative works, and multimedia, including hours of video and audio clips and podcasts. Premier reference content includes the American Journey Series, American Decades, Career Information Center and the SRC Health Module. GALE VIRTUAL REFERENCE LIBRARY Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7. Because each library creates its own eBook collection, the content you see may vary if you use the database at different libraries (your school, your public library, or your office). LIVE HOMEWORK HELP Online tutoring and homework help for those taking introductory college courses and students in the 4th-12th grade. Available every day from 2 pm to midnight.
