Grace Jr.’s gift shop started more than 40 Years ago in November of 1963. Grace Allread founded her retail gift store at 1430 Bidwell Avenue in Chico, California and quickly expanded to add The Candle Barn, a second building, presenting home décor gifts and unique and classic gifts.Moving to what is now a Tri County bank branch at the corner of 5th Street and Salem Street, Grace continued to add jewelry, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pins, brooches and pendant gifts to her already singular offerings.Always known for great greeting cards, a drawer in the hall was added for those greeting cards that are a bit risqué.
