Our recent cases have been mainly in the areas of insurance, reinsurance, and securities, but our lawyers are trained to take on virtually any business litigation or arbitration. We love to try cases. We have done so often and successfully, winning dozens of trials and preliminary injunction hearings in both state and federal courts. This experience has taught us to prepare each case for trial continuously from its inception, not just after the close of discovery or the setting of a trial date, and to identify early the main issues on which victory at trial will depend. Our approach gives our clients the confidence to wait for the adversary to blink first if their demands for settlement are not met. Our lawyers have the benefit of training in traditional large law firms, but embrace the values of efficiency and innovation in ways in which traditional firms do not. For example, we designed and commissioned custom software that gives our clients a more detailed and transparent view of the cost of litigation than any other system we know of.
