The Helms family, since the mid 1970's, has been custom fabricating prostheses to the individual needs of amputees. The owner operated highly personal approach is our standard. Experience in Air Force specializing in structural repair and plastics technology provided the basis for the inventions which are now marketed worldwide enabling the amputee to be fit with a more cosmetic, functional, lightweight limb. No matter the cause of the leg or arm amputation (disease, vascular, diabetes, traumatic, congenital, etc.), we try to meet the individual's personal challenges. We are centrally located in Northeastern Oklahoma in the beautiful foothills of the Ozarks on Grand Lake O' The Cherokees between Joplin, MO and Tulsa, OK. We are happy to work with any form of funding (private, insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, Rehabilitation Commission, CHAMPUS, VA, etc.) with a free initial consultation to offer suggestions regarding prosthetic needs of the client to maintain the most active lifestyle possible.
