With New Hampshire's rural characteristics, the majority of NH land and business owners provide drinking water for their consumers and themselves via drilled/artesian groundwater wells. For public drinking water systems, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has stringent water quality contaminant levels established by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) which are enforced by the New Hampshire Department Of Environmental Services (NHDES). Whether you own/maintain a community system, non-community non-transient system, or transient sytem, the analytical requirements for owning a Public Water System can sometimes be a challenging task. Granite State Analytical (GSA) has three certified operators on staff who are licensed in the state of New Hampshire for Grade I Treatment & Distribution. Outside of municipal systems and public utilities, very few NH groundwater systems require higher certification. These licenses are maintained on an annual basis by attending continuing education classes, industry shows/forums, and NHDES seminars. GSA operates over 80 public water systems throughout the state.
