GRANT & ASSOCIATES SINCE 1929 Grant & Associates has been associated with the premier manufacturers of plumbing and commercial building products since its inception by Walter Grant, Jr. in 1929. In April 1985, Walter Kenning, the current president, acquired the company. The company business is conducted from an office/warehouse located in Elmwood, LA, a suburb of New Orleans. Grant & Associates' mission is the professional representation of quality manufacturers' products for the plumbing, mechanical and commercial construction industries in the territory of Louisiana and Mississippi. This territory represents approximately 72,000 square miles and a population of 5.7 million people. Grant & Associates is committed to a regular call schedule for the entire territory that includes architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers, contractors, and key primary end-users and home builders. We also support and maintain close relationships with our wholesale customers. Walt Kenning has primary responsibility for the New Orleans/Baton Rouge metropolitan area as well as Houma and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Jim Ilgenfritz has responsibilities calling on Mechanical Engineers, contractors and end users throughout southern Louisiana and the gulf coast of Mississippi. Denise Copeland covers north Louisiana and Mississippi calling on wholesalers and influential end users. Grant & Associates' two territories are comprised of a major concentrated population in a smaller geographic area and a second area larger in geography, but less dense in people opportunity. This provides a reasonable working arrangement that allows regular schedules with adequate time to respond to specific problems, opportunities and requests from manufacturers, specifiers and wholesalers. Carol Talbot, Abigail Kenning and Ricky Whitfield provide office back up. Anthony shares inside sales, quotation, purchasing and inventory responsibilities. Carol assists with inside sales, quoting prices and delivery schedules, general office and clerical duties. Abigail handles clerical and bookkeeping duties along with order expediting.
