For more than 27 years, Graphique de France has been enhancing the lives of our consumers through our passion for art, design and quality. Started as an importer of prints for French museums and galleries in 1979, Graphique de France was originally housed in a small apartment on Marlborough Street in Boston. Armed with a just Corona typewriter, a small inventory of posters and a passion for product quality, Graphique de France's founder, Jean-Jacques Toulotte, quickly grew his fledgling company into an established print distributor in the U.S. market. By 1981, the company relocated to the South End of Boston, hired a full-time secretary, and published its first catalog of 100 posters. By 1984, the company evolved from a distributor to a prints publisher, reproducing work for some of the most renowned art establishments,such as the Museum of Fine Arts, the National Gallery of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as working with prestigious photographers and up-and-coming artists. In 1991, Graphique de France elevated its position at retail by diversifying its product offering. The company launched its first-ever line of calendars, followed by blank note cards and greeting cards. As the business continued to grow, so did the need for space. In 1992, Graphique de France relocated to a new facility in Woburn, Massachusetts, with 40,000 feet of warehouse space.
