Great Companions is located on the plains of northern Minnesota...where dogs can run free, cats can hunt all day long, and birds, well, they still have to stay indoors because it's too darn cold outside!In fact, our history is rooted in those plains. Our company started small, using catalogs as a way to market high quality birdseed mixed in our local grain elevator. When that idea proved successful, our entrepreneurial instincts took over and Great Companions was born. We expanded our line of avian products and added supplies for dogs and cats as well.Today, Great Companions remains a family-run business and we pride ourselves in offering you our signature hometown service. Our goal is to provide our customers with superior quality and value in pet supplies. We won't sell anything that we would not feel comfortable giving to our own "great companions". (At last count, we have 4 dogs, 4 cats and 4 birds.)
