Greater Omaha Packing Co., Inc. is a single source supplier of the highest quality beef in the world. Our cattle buyers source Angus and Hereford cattle which make up 95% of our production within a 250 mile radius of our sole (only) facility in Omaha, Nebraska. One plant, one type of cattle, one predominant feed type, one trim spec, all combine to deliver one type of quality which is consistently, the very best.

My family believes that it takes hard work, dirty hands, and motivation to succeed in a cattle feeding operation. These beliefs began in 1958 when my father started feeding cattle. Even though he is getting older, he is still on the “Advisory Board” and is not afraid to help at any time. My brother, my two sons, and I, operate the now 5,500 head feedlot located west of Lindsay, Nebraska. We focus on feeding top quality non-hormone treated cattle, consisting of mostly Angus breeds.

Greater Omaha Packing Co., Inc. operates one of the newest beef processing facilities in the country. Built in 2001, our harvesting plant utilizes the newest and best technologies available within the industry to remove bacteria. We employ a multi-hurdle concept with twelve separate processes, each of which is a validated pathogen intervention procedure. These steps include controlled atmosphere, steam vacuums, hot water and acid rinse cabinets, and steam pasteurization cabinets. The industry views each of these methods as viable steps.
