Greef Gen Store

Description

The Greef General Store (and other businesses) may open for tours or upon request during non- scheduled hours and seasons. Built of brick and stone in the early 1840's, it was once the largest store in Van Buren County and housed the Greef brothers' banking operations. The Greef General Store, Corns House, Bank Building and Odd Fellows Hall, were obtained by the Van Buren County Conservation Board in the 1960's. Through the years, the Van Buren County Conservation and many volunteers have contributed to the store in its growth to where it is today.
