Greek Orthodox Golf Classic

Description

The Greek Orthodox Golf Classic (Westchester) is the New York metropolitan region's premier Spring charity golf event for the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour, Rye, New York, and Holy Trinity Church, New Rochelle, New York and the three charities it supports (Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, St. Basil's Academy and St. Michael's Home). Great camaraderie and fun is had by all participating golfers and dinner guests. Since its inaugural event in 1999, the GOGC has continuously grown throughout the New York metropolitan area. Upon arrival golfers are treated to a full buffet lunch followed by putting and other contests and a challenging round of golf. Upon completion of the round, golfers enjoy a cocktail hour and a buffet dinner with prizes, Silent Auction and an abundance of Raffle Prizes. On course contests include Closest to the Pin contests on every Par 3 hole, Longest Drive, Closest to the Line, Team and Individual net and gross awards. More than 60 sponsors ranging from Gold, Silver, Bronze, Hole, Tee Sponsors and Supporters also support the GOGC. Sponsors receive plaques commemorating their support of the Event. Due to the Event's overwhelming success, the Greek Orthodox Golf Classic (Westchester) has become a much-anticipated event.
