GreenBean Insulation LLC was founded in New Orleans, LA in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by native Louisianian Kurt D. Buchert. After recently bringing his uncles into the business, GreenBean has become a locally owned family business. Our GreenBean crews have some of the most insulation experience in the country. Each one of our sprayers has a minimum of 200 sprayed jobs under their belts & our head sprayers have over 2,000 jobs sprayed each. Kurt is a graduate of Jesuit High School of New Orleans & LSU (Geaux Tigers) where he majored in Finance & Real Estate. Kurt is an experienced Certified Financial Planner & also has vast experience in home renovations, having overseen renovations on 10 classic New Orleans shotgun homes in the Uptown, Mid-City, & Carrollton areas. He therefore has the skills to help our customers analyze the financial return they receive on our service plus give general renovation & construction advice. Kurt is also a graduate of BioBased Insulation University where he received thorough training in insulation services, cooling & heating systems, and "green" building. He also attended the ENERGY EFFICIENT SPECIALIST course at Delgado College which concentrates in energy efficiency, moisture control, home comfort, & whole house energy systems. Kurt received specialized training tailored to the hot & humid climate of South Louisiana & the Gulf Coast. We have assembled an experienced team of installers who have worked in the industry for many years. GreenBean pays good American wages & works with local suppliers to keep our dollars reinvested locally. Mark Comarda manages the Baton Rouge & Lafayette areas. He is a retired Regional Manager with IBM of 25 yrs & has resided in Baton Rouge for over 20 yrs. He was born & raised in New Orleans & attended DeLaSalle High School.
