Mr. Poole serves as the chairman of the board of the Sight & Sound Theatre Co., a privately-held company headquartered in Lancaster County, PA. He has participated in the Sheshunoff CEO Affiliate Program for over 10 years. Throughout his career, Mr. Poole has served on boards and committees of various organizations such as the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, Family Services of Lancaster, Hospice of Lancaster County, Community First Fund, Lancaster Mennonite High School, Millersville University Foundation, Town & Country Leasing, and Bank of Lancaster County.

William K. Poole was Founding President/CEO and a director of the HomeTowne Heritage Bank division of National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: NPBC). He also served as a director of the Nittany Bank division of National Penn Bank. Nittany Bank is a State College, PA de novo bank founded in 1998. Mr. Poole began his banking career in 1984 as a management trainee at the Bank of Lancaster County, the lead bank of Sterling Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: SLFI).
