In 1991, she started Greentree Services. Our mission, then as now, was to provide the services of licensed psychologists to nursing home residents within the context of their environment. This mission is still accomplished by doing more than just provide counseling to residents. Our goal is to provide care that makes a difference in residents’ lives by addressing not just their presenting symptoms, but the totality of their life circumstances. We recognize that providing services in a vacuum just doesn’t work.

Some of the elements that I appreciate most about working as a psychologist for Greentree Services include the highest standard of professionalism and excellence in providing both technical and direct support. I am especially grateful for the help in navigating various challenges inherent to providing psychological services in a nursing home setting. My Regional Manger has been true to his word that I do not have to focus on the intricate components of the business or billing aspects and can, instead, focus on providing much needed and incredibly valued psychological support to older adults who are in distress or in need of a compassionate, listening ear.

Our facility has been working with Greentree Services since 2001. I remember the first time they came to discuss their services with us. Their representative was not aware that many of our residents were Deaf. I had been trying to find Psychologists who understood sign language for years. I am sorry to say that we laughed at Greentree’s representative when he said he could meet our needs. I believe we gave him a challenge. A few months later, Wayne came back with one of the four psychologists in the State of Ohio who had sign language knowledge. We signed with Greentree that day.
