At Griggs & Browne we take great pride in our heritage and the people and events that have strengthened our business over the past century. Our story began in 1910 when a local chemist named Michael Browne started a small pest control business in Providence. In 1934 Dan Griggs purchased the business and helped transform the industry by developing a professional approach to customer service. Fighting pests was a particularly hazardous job in the early 1900's as equipment, knowledge of chemicals and safe practices were still evolving. The Griggs & Browne team quickly became known for their rapid response that they brought to each job. Soon Griggs & Browne became the preferred service provider of area restaurants, hospitals, businesses, institutions, and of course, residences throughout Southern New England.
