Group M is quite experienced in the design of multi-family residential and mixed-use projects. Group M clients represent all arenas of the building industry from the largest homebuilders in the world to the most speculative builders in the nation. Group M is one of the few premier structural engineering firms with significant experience in all aspects of structural design of multi-family and mixed-use projects. Our firm has designed well over 3,000 structures to date.

We provide structural engineering services involving concrete, masonry, steel, and wood utilized for the design of commercial and residential multi-story buildings. Most of our projects consist of utilizing two of these materials to make up the major portions of the building. We are one of the few engineering firms that can provide a one stop shop design for all aspects of the project. Our design philosophy and methodology is to provide the most cost-effective and efficient design utilizing the materials required to achieve the design intent.

We provide structural observation services during the construction of the project as required by code, however, our methodology provides us to do a more thorough observation than traditional industry practices. This approach serves to help to minimize construction errors or oversights as well as address many field issues in the field. Group M's practice of performing on-site structural observations during all stages of construction from foundation to framing provides an invaluable practical understanding of current trends and methods with construction materials.

We have extensive experience in both slab designs and are familiar with the design of parking slabs as well as podium slabs designed using either method.
