GTS Computer Consultants was established to provide service to medium and small sized businesses in South Louisiana. These services include networking of computers and peripherals in various platforms and topologies. The company specializes in Microsoft and Novell networking operating systems. Supported topologies include Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, Fiber Optic, Token Ring, and Arcnet. The nucleus of the company is comprised of experienced solutions oriented network consultants. All are dedicated to providing service above and beyond normal standards. The company maintains a sales / administration office on the 35th floor of the Energy Centre in the New Orleans Central Business District, a satellite office on the North Shore in Mandeville, and an additional office / assembly facility located at 1021 Harimaw Court East in Metairie utilized for warehousing local inventory and preconfiguration of network systems. GTS works with prospects and clients by offering front end consulting and long term planning to insure that a recommended system design will allow for reasonable expansion with limited disruption or unnecessary retrofit expenses. Solutions are derived by determining the client’s current and future needs, choosing the proper software, and subsequently making a determination of the hardware required to perform the tasks most efficiently. It is not unusual for GTS to recommend solutions that include components and software that the client already owns thereby reducing overall costs. The company feels strongly that satisfied Clients are the most important goal. GTS has a broad range of experience which includes installation and upgrading of Novell Netware and Windows NT / 2000 systems, integration of existing and new hardware components, construction and installation of new file servers, duplexing of hard drives, tape backup systems, network management, gateways between minicomputers and PC-LANs, dial-in or dial-out communications (RAS), e-mail (local & remote), business and accounting solutions, and application development. GTS offers technical support agreements to clients providing unlimited telephone support 24 hours a day / 365 days a year. Pricing is based on the number of servers, gateways, and workstations being supported. Block time agreements offering discounted service fee rates are available for predetermined and prepaid numbers of hours. GTS has access to nearly all-major manufacturers of hardware and software. In cases where special authorization is required, GTS maintains reciprocal agreements with independent suppliers to assure competitive pricing without loss of warranties.
