We started Guardiant with one goal in mind: Create an enterprise-class backup that small businesses could afford. Having worked in IT for a combined total of 15 years, we had all seen our share of disk failures, data corruption, theft, and even building fires. More often than not, each of us had always been called in retroactively to fix the damage; recovering files, rebuilding data, replacing hard drives. What almost never happened was a proactive call to protect the business from disaster in the first place!
