Competitive Intelligence is the search for how a company or product fits into a marketplace, and what others are doing in that marketplace. We specialize in competitive technical intelligence (also known as CTI), a specialized form of competitive intelligence that focuses on technical activities and will normally be either company or market specific. The “intelligence” part of CTI is accomplished by analyzing technical data from patent, trademark,technical literature, and other databases. The primary goal of CTI is to obtain useful information that creates competitive advantage. In its simplest application, CTI can help the management of a company protect itself from being blindsided by a competitor or by a shift in the marketplace. The two main CTI products that we offer are Competitor Intelligence Investigations and Market Intelligence Investigations . Other CTI products are available on request. Please note that all of our CTI products make use of publicly available information. Since neither clandestine nor illegal means are employed, any R&D programs that a company has truly kept secret will not be found. However, a determined search can often find information that, through analysis, provides insight into a program that a company only believed was secret.
