Gulgren's was founded in Crystal Lake by Gene and Leroy Gulgren in 1959. Greg Danielson started to work for them in 1973 and Mike Gulgren came aboard in 1983. Leroy retired in 1992 and in 1997 Greg and Mike bought the business from Gene Gulgren. Gulgren's has always been a very active part of the community and they help support many local organizations as well as continuing to be Crystal Lake's only full service appliance store.
