Chris Dooley - Managing Partner cdooley@gumbranchcapital.com Chris Dooley has an extensive background in advising, investing in and managing growth companies. Most recently, Chris founded and managed The Divergence Group, LLC, a boutique consulting firm advising corporations, investment firms and portfolio companies on the identification and management of growth opportunities. Prior to founding The Divergence Group, Chris held a variety of senior level management positions at Siebel Systems, the leading CRM Software Company acquired by Oracle in 2005. During Chris ’s time at Siebel, Siebel grew 400% and tripled the number of employees. Chris also co-founded and managed the Siebel Venture Capital Group investing in early-stage technology companies. Prior to Siebel, Chris advised fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries as a Management Consultant with Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) and founded and ran a vending company. Chris has extensive experience in doing business internationally having lived and worked in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Chris has a BA from Haverford College in Political Science and Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. Charles Phillips - Managing Partner cphillips@gumbranchcapital.com Charles Phillips has been a sales, marketing and operations executive at a variety of new ventures and established firms in the arenas of software, telecommunications, and professional services. Most recently, he was a Vice-President at Probitas Partners, an independent provider of integrated, global, alternative investment solutions to institutional investors and fund sponsors. At Probitas, Charles identified and structured the sale of private equity investments in the secondary market. In 2004, Charles founded and served as CEO of Tereo Enterprises, a project management and finance company that performed $2 million of infrastructure work as a Tier 1 subcontractor to Bechtel, Incorporated in support of FEMA ’s efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Prior to founding Tereo, he was COO of a private Turkish-American partnership that completed over $10 million in delivery of goods and services in Iraq. Charles was responsible for coordinating all project management and vendor activities, including fabrication, delivery and installation of projects from beginning to end. At Siebel Systems he managed the company's $10 million relationship with its largest channel partner (Microsoft).
