About Doug Eck: No Limits Doug chose a career in real estate because he has always loved Hilton Head. "I want to help people get a piece of paradise like I did." Doug, originally from Allentown, PA, was led to the Island by his father for a golf outing more than 29 years ago. He first told his father that he'd retire here someday, then vacation here every year, until finally he moved here 12 years ago. In 1990 Doug started his own company, Fastech Technology, manufacturing a patented telecommunications product. He also owned and operated Stevens Temporary Employment Agency an agency for lawyers, paralegals and nurses. Both businesses were service oriented making Real Estate an easy transition. Doug's philosophy in dealing with clients: "Give them the same advice you would a family member or your best friend." Doug enjoys many of the activities to be found around Hilton Head Island; golf, tennis, racquetball, etc. But his real passion is sailing. He and his wife Jane recently returned from a 14 month sailing trip from Hilton Head to Australia, across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and four seas - the Coral, Tasmin, Fijian and Caribbean, for a total of 18,000 miles!
