Description

I love to create and build things. I also love to work with people. My introduction to the building trade began in 1975 on the East Coast. I had the good fortune to work for a builder who taught me not only to value quality and craftsmanship, but also to put the client first and to provide unsurpassed customer service. For the next nine years, I worked with traditional “Tradesmen” who took the time to show me hands-on how to build things correctly. During this time, I became trained in all aspects of residential and commercial building. My emerging skill in renovation and affinity for historic properties led me to start my own company around 1984 that specialized in Period Reproduction. When I moved to Colorado, after working for a contractor for several years, I again started my own company, this time in custom furniture and home modifications for special needs individuals and then another in residential and commercial construction. Building on these years of experience, I now have founded HJ Builders Inc to bring you finely crafted, custom Residential Homes, Restoration, and Remodeling.
