Our decision was influenced by the fact that Mike Hoy and his brother Nick would be the primary persons doing the construction work. We felt that with such a big project, we wanted to have the people in charge present in our home every day to monitor deliveries, subcontractor work, deal with unexpected issues when they arose (they always do!), etc. That is exactly the experience we had with Mike and Nick. They were heavily involved in all aspects of the project, went to bat for us when necessary, and responded to unforeseen issues with creative solutions that kept us on budget. If you are contemplating a home remodel project, and want to be comfortable with the people who come to work in your home every day, and confident that your contractor is on your side, then Hoy Enterprises is as good as it gets! He has an excellent eye for design and takes pride in providing an outcome that exceeds your expectations. We hired him in the spring of 2008 to update our master bathroom. Our tile countertops were replaced with beautiful stone slabs as well as new sinks and brushed nickel faucets. The shower, which was an old white tile, was transformed after Mike took out a side wall, added a pillar and put in glass on two sides of the shower. He also replaced the old white tile with large stone tile on both the walls and floor of the shower, and installed a new shower head and handles. His improvements turned a dated master bathroom into an inviting retreat. We put our house on the market a few weeks later and I am convinced that the renovations that Mike did were one of the reasons that it sold very quickly. As good as the workmanship was, it was also important to me that Mike was not only very honest but also that he kept the work area clean and put down runners every day in the part of the house he had to walk through to get to the bathroom. He was also very accommodating about helping with finishing touches for the bathroom, such as installing new towel racks and doorknobs that I had purchased.
