Description
Our growth is a tribute to the soundness of these philosophies. Our reputation for excellence has allowed this growth to develop almost entirely from outside referrals. Our diverse clientele number over 600, including professional corporations, manufacturers' representatives, metal fabricators, petroleum distributors, automotive and heavy equipment part manufacturers, building contractors, transportation concerns, advertising agencies, consulting engineers, financial institutions, hospitals, municipalities, and non-profit organizations.
The firm was founded in 1977 and has existed under its present management since 1983. From the beginning, our goal has been to bring an eminent degree of professionalism to our area of specialization. To achieve this goal, we feel that several concepts are basic.
HPL&S is a multitalented professional organization serving a large base of entrepreneurs and growth-oriented companies nationwide. As employee benefit consultants, we specialize in the design and administration of deferred compensation plans .
The contributions (401(k) AND plan loan repayments) should be deposited as soon as they can reasonably be segregated from the employer's general assets, but not later than the 15th business day of the month following the month in which the contributions are withheld by the employer. The Department of Labor has been focusing on this issue in recent years. A guideline frequently used by the DOL is to expect 401(k) deferrals and plan loan payments to be deposited as early as the due date of the payroll taxes. The DOL has issued a safe harbor deadline to provide clarity for employers.
