The Halcyon Spa team is passionate about providing excellent quality services to you. We provide a variety of services, from a combined wealth of knowledge and experience. Halcyon Spa was founded in 2001 in the home of, the owner, Kathy Kessler. Her desire to bring health and wellness to her hometown community and make massage accessible before it was mainstream, is the foundation of Halcyon. The team has grown over the years, with staff having longevity at Halcyon and in the industry. We offer services focused on health and wellness, natural beauty, relaxation, hair care, and yoga. We look forward to serving you with your relaxation, pain management, and beauty needs.

The private and serene guest room is tucked behind the spa, providing guests with easy access to spa services, an opportunity to relax on our porch and gazebo, and the chance to take in the peaceful charm of Augusta, MO.

A 1994 graduate from St. Louis University with a BS in Physical Therapy. She graduated from The Healing Arts Center in 2000, and created Halcyon Spa in her home in 2001. The spa moved to its current location in a renovated historic building in 2009. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2012 from the West-East Natural Healing School. Kathy has a passion for working with her clients, patients, and students to bring health and vitality to the body. She combines more than 2 decades of experience working with the body to reduce pain, restore mobility, improve posture; or just simply help one relax more deeply.

A 2005 graduate from Missouri College. Kara grew up in Augusta, and she loves working with clients she has known for years, as well as working with clients experiencing Augusta for the first time.

As a member of the Halcyon Spa team providing support to all the service providers. Sally’s youthful energy makes the clients feel welcome. She is a native of Augusta and loves sharing stories about her community with the clients.
