The "most famous musician you've never heard" of sheds some light on the life of legendary songwriter Harry Nilsson among others he has worked with. Andy's depiction of life while working with Nillson on his demos during his year is very touching, very poignant and eye opening.

5. Send a lyric sheet, neatly typed or printed. Letterhead is impressive. It says "This is my business and I take it seriously." Some don?t like to look at lyrics while they listen, but most do. It?s a time saver to be able to see it all at once and to see the structure of the song graphically laid out on the page. Lead sheets (with melody and lyric together) are not sent out with demos.

Q -- I have been trying to break in to writing for Film & TV and am sending out my CD's to a few companies like Dreamworks Films and Sony Pictures and although they both have commented that my music is really good -- Im still not sure what I might be doing wrong cause they havent requested to use it yet! How do I find out what they are really looking for so that I can target my material better.
