Description

The Green Mountain Net, founded in 1953, is a group of mostly congenial Hams who meet on 3.933 MHz every day except Sunday. The net starts at 5 PM EST/EDT (21:00 or 22:00Z). The average number of check ins is between 25 -35 members. Although most of our members come from the New England states, any and all who can be heard are welcome, no matter what their QTH might be. We are a rag chew net whose purpose is to foster good fellowship and camaraderie amongst Radio Amateurs. The Net Manager is N1HXC, Wayland Scott (Scotty). His address is POB 34 in Wardsboro, VT, 05355.

It was known in the 30's that a lack of Iodine in some areas of earth allowed the upper brain lodes to oxidize. Here in America in the 50's people were warned not to make their coffee in aluminum pots. So here in America in the 60's we forced table salt manufactures to include iodine in the table salt. Whoops not a good idea ! For nowadays everyone tells all ages to never have table salt on the table and as many Americans have poor blood pressure, a salt restricted diet is strongly recommended. Yes no salt is healthy but no iodine is murder they wrote!
