Hamilton Aerospace Technologies, Inc. really can be said to date back to year 1936 when Gordon B. Hamilton, a young man of 14 years had his first flight. Within five years he was successfully operating a flying service at Van Nuys, California. His new firm, "Ham's Cub Club" was located in a hangar next to an aviation celebrity, namely Howard Hughes. Secretly kept in the Hughes hanger was the famous experimental racing aircraft, the HR-1 Racer, a prized aircraft that Hughes used to break many aviation records. Before long, Gordon Hamilton was helping Hughes maintain the aircraft.
