(Global Investment Performance Standards) is the global standard for performance reporting administered by the CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management and Research ("AIMR")). GIPS is the updated standard replacing AIMR-PPS. If you're a professional, your prospective clients may expect you to be GIPS/AIMR-compliant. Some of our products use GIPS calculation methods, which you are required to use for compliance. Software programs (and vendors) cannot claim GIPS compliance, only firms with assets under management can.
