Description
Each county’s Workforce Policy Board was established to advise and assist in planning, coordination, and monitoring of the Workforce Investment Act programs and services. The board’s focus is meeting the needs of the business community. Board Members are appointed by each county’s Board of Commissioners and represent all facets of workforce development in the region including business, labor, education, government, youth activities and consumers.
The review consists of ODJFS reviewing our records to see if compliance is being met by the agency and agency foster families. You may be hearing from the agency during this review period. Ohio Department of Job Family Services has to make home visits to a few of our foster homes. If you are one of those homes selected, then you would be notified in advance and an appointment would be scheduled. You can expect at the home visit something similar to when you have a site and safety completed for your home study.

We strive to build a stronger and more self-sufficient community by making individuals well equipped to improve their quality of life.
Ohio Works First was established to provide time-limited cash assistance to eligible families through Ohio’s Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program, which emphasizes employment, personal responsibility and self-sufficiency. Applications are processed at county departments of job and family services, and cash assistance is provided to eligible families for up to 36 months.
