Description

Since 2004, Hancock Point Kayak Tours has guided all levels of kayakers, including special needs paddlers, on unforgettable excursions across Frenchman and Taunton Bays on the Maine coast. Frenchman Bay is a fantastic body of water on which to enjoy sea kayaking, attracting paddlers from around the world. Come paddle its open waters, where eagles, loons, seals, osprey, and porpoises can often be seen, along with beautiful views of Acadia National Park and the surrounding islands. Our guided tours and camping trips are small and personalized in the "Maine Guide" tradition. We paddle across Frenchman and Taunton Bays and away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Tours depart with flexible starting times as seats are reserved. Paddlers with less experience are welcome. Our staff has helped many people gain confidence and skill in the art of sea kayaking. We love to look for porpoises in the waves, with the sun setting over the mountains of Acadia. They're just feeding, but their presence casts a magical spell over the waters. We want to share this in a low- impact way with others. There's not much opportunity to experience certain aspects of life elsewhere than in a sea kayak.
