Q. I’m sensitive to latex products. Is there any latex in the gloves or bootees? A. No. We do not use latex in our products. We also do not use rubber or any other substance known to cause a skin reaction. Q. Can I use this moisturizer on my face? A. No. We do not suggest that you remove moisturizer from the glove or bootee or that you use it near your eyes as it could sting. If moisturizer from any HanDaiD, FootAid or Skinriché product gets into your eye, we suggest that you flush it with water. If you experience any discomfort or blurred vision after flushing the area, consult your physician. Q. Can I use this moisturizer on other parts of my body, other than my face? A. We do not suggest that you remove moisturizer from the glove or bootee but, if you have any excess on your hands or feet, we think you’ll love the feeling it gives your elbows and knees! Q. Are HanDaiD, FootAid or Skinriché products tested on animals? A. No. We do not conduct testing on animals. Q. How long should my skin feel moisturized? A. The length of time your skin remains moisturized will depend on your activities and environment. It is not unusual for people to report feeling a continuing sense of rejuvenation for two days after having worn our gloves or bootees for a few hours. Q. What’s the best way to extend the benefits of the gloves and bootees? A. For the longest possible effect, we suggest wearing the gloves or bootees 8 hours—usually over night. No matter how long you choose to wear the gloves or bootees, the best way to maintain the moisture in your skin is to avoid exposure to detergents, direct sunlight and dry air or wind. Q. Do HanDaiD products contain any animal by-products? A. No. Q. Do the moisturizing formulas contain any preservatives? A. Yes. Since we use plant-derived ingredients, as well as water, we need to ensure that our products remain vital and stable. The preservatives we use ensure that nothing can “grow” within the glove or bootee. These ingredients are not at all harmful to you and you should not be surprised to see them used in some of the prepared or processed foods you eat. Q. Why should hands or feet be washed before wearing the gloves or bootees? A. Our products contain small amounts of preservatives to ensure that our moisturizers remain pure before they reach your skin. If you have any undesirable organisms on your skin that can eat the nutrients in our formulas, they may grow or multiply while you are wearing the gloves—especially if you wear them for eight hours. Since you won’t want to wash your hands or feet immediately after moisturizing, please make certain they’re clean before you use our products. Q. How should my skin feel when I take off the gloves or bootees? A. The longer you wear the gloves or bootees, the more moisturizer will enter your skin so that, after 8 hours, your skin will feel as moist as if you had just rinsed them. The less time your skin is exposed to the moisturizer, the more of it will remain either in the glove (or bootee) and on your skin’s surface. Q. What should I do with the excess moisturizer on my skin if I wear the glove or bootee for only 15 minutes? A.
