HandEra’s Origianl Design Manufacturer (ODM) business model is used to provide a complete product development, manufacturing and support solution for qualified products and customers. The ODM model ensures that there is a convenient, single point of contact from design through delivery and support of the product. The ODM engagement has the following steps: Initial Customer Contact: Much like the product development process, an ODM project begins with discussion about the potential project and collection of information about scope, timeline and potential specification requirements.

Engineering Verification Test (EVT): The purpose of this phase of the project is to produce initial prototypes that may or may not be in the exact shape of the final product. The EVT prototypes are primarily meant for engineering use so that software development can begin, and so that initial electronics testing can be conducted. During the EVT phase, the Test Plan will be refined and a Production Test Strategy will be developed.

A challenge often faced by large and small customers alike is how to fund the costly development and testing efforts required to bring a product to market. HandEra has successfully partnered with dozens of customers to launch products using our Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) business model.
