Description
Handi-Pin was originally developed as a tool for people with "hidden disabilities" and their caregivers. After a severe stroke, my husband, Anthony Ray Lindgren, suffered from dysphagia - difficulty with speech. He also lost most of his vision. But at thirty-five years of age, Anthony did not "appear" disabled. Frustrated with constantly having to explain the need for this or that accommodation, I came up with the idea of Handi-Pin. Like magic, I would request whatever accommodation was required and - no questions asked - it would be provided.
