Description
Hands on DC is successful because of the dedication of thousands of volunteers from across the area. Since 1994, more than 26,000 community members have had a great time spending a day volunteering with other energetic, committed people in order to make a difference in the lives of local students. They've also raised more than $600,000 for scholarships for deserving students. Our volunteers come from across the community. We engage volunteers from major corporations, local schools, church groups, civic and social organizations, college alumni clubs, youth groups, and government agencies. We hope you'll join us in planning our next event or participating on the day of the event. There are several ways to volunteer with Hands on DC. Email volunteer@handsondc.org for more information or if you have questions. No experience is required! You can also come to the next Organizing Committee meeting to learn more. to paint, landscape, or mulch at a school on one of our event days. -Team Leader by forming a team of volunteers from your office, church, or association for our Work-a-Thon event.
