Boston Harbor Islands WTAI operates the ferry service to the Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area. In 2005, we completed the construction of two brand new high-speed catamarans, the Island Expedition and Island Discovery. These vessels cut the travel time from Boston to Georges Island and Spectacle Island to under 30 minutes, with departures every 30 minutes on peak season weekends! Their high-speed also makes them perfect for harbor cruises and sunset cruises which quickly travel to areas of the harbor unreachable by conventional ferries.
