On April 15, 2005, the Drohan Family celebrated 30 years in business at the the Harbor Inn Restaurant. We would like to thank our loyal Gig Harbor patrons and countless visitors whom we have had the pleasure to serve.The Harbor Inn Restaurant is best known for its fresh seafoods, salads, sandwiches, desserts, award-winning wine list and ever-growing array of import and micro-brew beers, all served in an historic building on the downtown waterfront of Gig Harbor. Specialties include our carefully prepared seafood, beef, chicken and pasta dishes, plus wonderful delicacies such as our Seafood Caesar Salad, Dungeness Crab Benedict, Pan fried Oysters or Trout, Filet Mignon or New York Steak, and our famous omelettes.The view looks out over the Gig Harbor Marina, a boat repair and maintainence facility. The marina was once the Skansie shipyard where before the turn of the century through the 1950’s dozens of wooden fishing boats and many large ferryboats were built under the metal roof you look out on today. The net pens that can be seen to the right contain live herring awaiting packaging for fishing bait. The building next door on the right of our building is the multi-million dollar headquarters of the Threshold Group, which houses the headquarters of the Russell Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization which seeks to support projects locally and worldwide that improve education and relieve major ecological concerns.
