HealthView Inc. is a 503c non-profit corporation serving the elderly, mentally ill and disadvantaged. Founded in 1967 as San Pedro Residential Center, Inc. as a California State licensed board and care for the mentally ill. It was unique in the fact that the facility located is in the historic five story former Army Navy YMCA building over looking the harbor at the Port of Los Angeles. Originally housing up to 287 residents suffering from mental in an unlocked environment. In 1971, 83 of those beds on its fifth floor we licensed and Intermediate skilled nursing beds. This enabled the company provide nursing supervision for those residents suffering from a medical illness along with their psychiatric disorders. In 1994 the company, expanded its services to senior retirement living with the acquisition of Lynwood Villa now HealthView Terrace, a 178 bed assisted living facility for seniors in Lynwood, California.
