Harper's Development, LLC is one of Maine's leading real estate development companies specializing in the construction and acquisition of commercial and industrial properties in Northern New England. Harper's provides rental space to a diverse range of tenants from Fortune 500 companies to state and federal government agencies. Principals of the General Partner have been engaged in the commercial real estate development business in Maine since 1975. Harper's niche is to purchase assets in need of repositioning in the market. We often purchase properties used previously for one purpose, only to be completely redeveloped for a new purpose by our team. Through its affiliated management company, construction company, and on-site maintenance staff, Harper's is able to build space to exacting specifications and provide the highest level of service to its clients. Harper's owns and manages a real estate portfolio of over one million square feet, including a number of Maine's most significant properties, such as downtown Augusta's Key Plaza tower, and the Masonic Hall Building in Downtown Portland. In December 2003, Harper's purchased the former SCI-Sanmina/Digital Equipment plant, now renamed the Central Maine Commerce Center, and is converting the 311,000 square foot building into commercial office space.
