Description
The Harriman Engine Company is a 100% volunteer Fire Company serving the Village of Harriman and parts of the unincorporated Town of Monroe. Harriman is located approximately 45 mile NW of New York City at the junction of the New York State Thruway and Route 17. HECO was established in 1928 when the need arose for fire protection in the community. We have been proudly serving since!Our Company handles the fire protection and also assist as first responders for community. Our First Due response area is a healthy mix of residential and commercial areas. We have several large commercial areas that include: Walmart, Target, BJ’s. Home Depot along with several fast food establishments. Also within our community we have an industrial area that includes several manufacturing and wholesale distribution centers. The residential areas have include single family, multi family, condo’s, town homes, several religious institutions and education buildings including several schools.
